Not sure if that's correct to do so, just made an assumption -I put the bios in the same directory as the roms and made sure the files within the bios zip were the same ones the emulator required.I'm a rather n00b when it comes to wads. I finally figured out how to get the correct ios on the wii to enable certain features. Do I just install those with mmm? Thanks again for the help. Thanks again for the helpOk, first thing first, forget about Neo Geo emulators, roms, isos and all that, for real, this is a waste of time. If you want your games to run properly (This is a Wii, not a Xbox, those homebrew Neo Geo emulators suck ass), you need to get all-in-one apps that contain the official Nintendo Neo Geo emulator, the game as well as a Wii channel.
Just learn how to install.wads. It's not hard, trust me. I personally use Pimp My Wii. This app updates your files, installs whatever your need and comes with a in-app wad installer that works great. I had minimal luck with Wii emulators. Mine couldn't run anything more advanced than a SNES cart. Even early 90s arcade games ran like shit.Wow, this absolutely.
Only nes, snes, genesis are running fine. N64 runs like crap, shockingly the ps1 emulator ran the couple games I threw at it just fine. But I will check out the wad files more. Thanks again all for the help. Is there anyway I can make the wads and other homebrew apps appear on the main wii screen without having to go into the homebrew channel?

Is there anyway I can make the wads and other homebrew apps appear on the main wii screen without having to go into the homebrew channel?Actually, the N64 games run great with the offical VC Emulator. Again, for that you need to install the.wads. Like I said, VC.wads come with everything including the channels so if you install a.wad, you will not only install the game and its emulator, you will also install the icon on the main screen automatically. It's way more user friendly that way. Actually, the N64 games run great with the offical VC Emulator. Again, for that you need to install the.wads. It's way more user friendly that way.I tried to get the Emunand going but my Wii but figure out how to run them. I had no problem getting every other emulator I wanted working. This is the only one that stumped me. I've got all the VC game wads I need. I tried following these instructions.but still no luck. Do you know an easier way? Man, thanks guys for all the advice.
When I get some extra time, I'm going to experiment with the wads. So far, the only wad I have installed is the one to update the ios to get neogamma working. I wasn't terribly big into n64 but it would be nice to play a few games. I'm selling some game systems as my time to play has dwindled but I recently got into playing tatsunoko vs capcom for the wii and have enjoyed it.
Even got my daughter (she's 4) to play some.all she does is move forward and punch or kick but its a start =) And she has some elmo games and tries to play mario kart.at any rate I'm going to keep just the wii and want to maximize what I can do with it. Well I successfully installed some wads, however some nes wads installed, but when run the screen goes black and the wiimotes shut off. Don't know if it is corrupt or if its from a different region.
However when I installed priiloader I enabled an option to essentially make the wii region free so am not sure. Also using retroarch I was able to run some cps2 roms.mainly the vs series and marvel super heroes and they all run great. My only complaint is that the classic controller isn't the best for this and wondered if I purchased a third party arcade stick for the wii would it work with the emulator? Glad you finally managed to install some wads! I should have said that earlier but installing NES wads is waste of channel space, really. The number of channel is limited so I prefer to keep my channels for the badly emulated stuff like Neo Geo, N64, PC Engine CD-Rom, some SNES, etc as well as the WiiWare stuff like the Konami Rebirth series (Castlevania, Contra, Gradius) and some other WiWare gems.
NES, PC Engine, SMS, Genesis, Neo Pocket, etc. Are running great with WiiMednafen, you should try it. Just like Retroarch, WiiMednafen is a multi emulator app that can run many systems and it does it better than many dedicated emulators. This is the best PC Engine emulator for example, way better then Hugo-Wii. All the games I've tried (PCE Hucards and Supergrafx) worked perfectly. About the stick, I don't see why it wouldn't work. BTW, pretty much all the Capcom brawlers work great with Retroarch as well.
Final Fight, The Punisher, Alien Vs. Predator, you name it. Glad you finally managed to install some wads! I should have said that earlier but installing NES wads is waste of channel space, really. I'm not a huge tg16 fan but there are a couple games I would like to play so I'll give that other emu a look. Glad you finally managed to install some wads!
